Overcoming Obstacles to Find Success as an Entrepreneur

Overcoming Obstacles to Find Success as an Entrepreneur

Struggling to Launch a Meaningful Career

My career path has been far from traditional. In my 20s, I was active and fit, traveling constantly until I became disabled in my late 20s and had to say goodbye to working a 9-5 job.

My body simply couldn't handle the hours. The one time I was fully open with employers about my neurodivergence and disabilities, I got laid off.

But when I kept my disabilities under wraps, I was seen as a top performer. I learned how to sell my own products after failing to sell other people's. And the corporate culture never fully embraced someone like me.

Turning Challenges into Opportunities

It took some lucky breaks and hard lessons to achieve my dreams of entrepreneurship.

Watching my dad build a company gave me insight into creating strong communities and supporting people I believe in. When I could no longer work a normal job, I got serious about starting my own company.

Now I have a growing family I can provide for. There have been months I couldn't work at all, but that didn't stop me from growing my business.

The Flexibility of Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship has given me the flexibility I've always needed. I can better afford resources and free time to improve my health.

For the first time in years, I'm in remission, walking without pain. Maybe if I could work a normal job, I wouldn't have the motivation I do to build my companies.

My disabilities have been a blessing in disguise. I love my life.

So do you - live life and dare to try!
